 Bay Insurance is proud to be a local, family-owned, independent insurance agency  That means we can offer quotes from various companies, to give you the coverage you need, at prices you can afford. Many of the companies we represent are Michigan only, with two of our homeowner's companies being headquartered in the Calumet area. Our community is important to us!

Agents

Family owned since 1991, when Roger Juntunen (now retired) founded the agency.

Trevor Juntunen is now the principle owner and agent. Trevor and his wife Val have three grown children, including a mentally handicapped daughter. Trevor is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Great Lakes Mutual Insurance Company. He is also active with the Shriners and Masons, and as secretary in the Blue Lodge.

Cheryl Johnson is  a Licensed Agent and Customer Service Representative at our Houghton office. She retired, with 31 years, from Michigan Tech - Public Safety & Police Services and currently serves on the Lake Linden Housing Commission.

In addition to her office duties, Cheryl maintains our facebook pages and collaborates in marketing endeavors. Cheryl is also a Notary Public and offers notary services to our customers, free of charge!

TJ Juntunen, Trevor's youngest child, works out of the L'Anse office and is exploring various options, including becoming a licensed agent. He is a talented writer and has done some voice acting. He also has worked in customer service and at the IRS. He is a Mason and Shriner,

Joseph Juntunen is Trevor's oldest son and is working on becoming a licensed agent. Right now, you will find him mostly in L'Anse. Once he has his license and training - he'll be working out of the Houghton office. Joseph has had a variety of experience and training. He joined the USAF but was unable to complete his training due to an old injury that left him with a titanium bar in his leg. He went to college for Criminal Justice and worked as a CO at Baraga Max. Before that, he worked primarily in customer service. He, too, is a Mason and Shriner.
